Bucovina’s music is a romanticist way to express the feeling of belonging to somewhere, an auditive manifestation of an ancient desire to reach for a space accessible to higher conscience and to remain there, isolated from the daily tumult. While some called Bucovina’s music traditional metal, others refer to it as pagan metal – yet Bucovina keeps true to its Romanian folklore roots, and at the same time opens towards the contemporary music. We’re not trying to find a specific label for what we are doing musically – we are creating songs for all those still in love with the mountains and nature, rivers and wild animals, sunrises and dusk alike. Our songs aim to remind you that there still are isles of calm amidst the “civilization’s storm”; and any trip to the mountains’ highlands, be it imaginary will bring us closer to what we really are: a tiny spark of spirit amid the majestic Nature.
